Well, if you thought being 82 meant living a boring life, wait till you check out the life of Ernestine Shepherd, the 82-year-old bodybuilder and the world’s fittest grandma.

Earnestine is making rounds on the internet for breaking barriers that no one ever imagined. Unlike your regular bodybuilders, she started bodybuilding at the age of 56. Shocked much? In fact, the reason why she took to bodybuilding will surprise you even more. Ernestine and her sister went to get swimsuits when they realised that they looked obnoxious in them because their bodies were out of proportion. Ever since, there was no looking back. She is now an author, a Guinness World Record holder and the world’s only fittest grandma.

Her Fitness Routine

Her day starts at 3:00 am. She is done with her meditation and morning run by 8:00 am. Then, she starts her personal training in the gym. You’ll see her lifting weights and taking classes till about 11:30 am. At around 5:30 pm, she heads back to the gym again to train people till 7:30 pm. Her day ends at 10:00 pm.

As far as her diet goes, she eats about 1,700 calories per day. And her diet mainly includes boiled chicken, vegetables, eggs, and plenty of water. If an 82-year-old can do this, you too can.
